Alan has experience working with specific ethnic groups and languages spoken, he also has significant experience in addressing Maori issues with RMA hearings. Specialist areas of interest are RMA mediation including development contributions, contractual disputes, engineering and building matters including seismic strengthening.
Alan worked as a Professional Engineer and Chief Executive in Local Government for 25 years after which in 1995 he established a consulting practice.
