Specialist areas of interest include community facilitation, conflict coaching and board/governance conflict.
Bev has held senior management positions across a number of industries including the financial sector as well as working with community groups.
She is one of only a few New Zealanders to complete a PHD in the governance arena. Her doctoral thesis entitled Corporate Governance: Determinants of Effective Decision-making- one of the first doctoral thesis to examine behaviour in the boardroom - has practical application to the working of boards.
In recent years she has been involved in establishing a number of trusts and boards (including social related services) assessing the effectiveness of boards, identifying and working through issues and has served as a director/trustee on other boards. Bev has worked with Maori-based organisations with an innovative or growth objective.
