Specialist areas of interest include RMA mediation and facilitation, facilitation of public and workplace issues, conflict coaching and teaching skills in negotiation, conflict management and collaboration.
Gay has been in private practice since 1996. She has mediated in the fields of education, health, business and community since 1984 and facilitated or mediated public issues and environmental conflicts since 1990. Gay is certified as a Good Decisions commissioner and facilitated the South Island Good Decisions team for several years.
Successfully facilitated case examples include the development of Forest Stewardship Council forestry standards for New Zealand and a building agreement over a significant ecological site on Banks Peninsula.
