FairWay appoints Head of Practice
FairWay Resolution Limited, New Zealand’s specialist dispute resolution and conflict management organisation, has promoted Samantha de Coning to the role of Head of Practice.
The focus of this role is on developing dispute resolution practice across FairWay. Mentoring new practitioners is a key passion for Samantha and as Head of Practice Samantha will be hands on in providing guidance to FairWay’s team of Resolution Practitioners. She will also continue to practice as a mediator, adjudicator and arbitrator.
“When people are in conflict, they are looking for a trusted set of hands. FairWay are the experts in managing conflict, and that comes from our commitment to best practice and customer experience. Having a Head of Practice will ensure we continue to keep that commitment front and centre of everything we do,” said Richard Binner, GM Operations.
Samantha has been with FairWay for four and half years, working across the Family Services and Commercial Services teams. She is a Fellow of the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute of New Zealand (AMINZ), an accredited Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) provider and experienced adjudicator. She has taught dispute resolution courses for both Massey University and AUT, regularly mentors and supports FairWay’s practitioners and provides technical leadership to the wider team.
Samantha is looking forward to playing a central role working with FairWay’s existing and new practitioners, as well engaging with the wider sector.
