FairWay Resolution Anne Scragg Scholarship – Finalist Submissions
Fair Way Resolution Limited is an organisation centred around leading the prevention and resolution of disputes. As part of our commitment to leading best practice dispute resolution, we award an annual scholarship package for anyone working in or studying dispute resolution in New Zealand.
Each applicant is required to submit a short abstract for a proposed paper on a dispute resolution topic of their choice. Up to five applicants are shortlisted and invited to prepare a full 1,500 word paper.
In 2019, four applicants were shortlisted. Our finalists were:
- Ana Lenard
- Lily Wilkie
- Regan Nathan
- Nurit Zubery
Our finalists submitted the following papers:
- Ana Lenard – Leadership in communication and conflict management for everyone
- Lily Wilkie - Vulnerable or at-risk persons, early dispute resolution for better working relationships at an agency level
- Regan Nathan - Developing Online Dispute Resolution for Aotearoa: The case for culturally appropriate service design
- Nurit Zubery - Perceptions of Gender Power in Family Dispute Resolution
Following their submissions, each finalist was invited to meet with the Fair Way Resolution Anne Scragg Scholarship panel. The winning recipient, Nurit Zubery, was announced on 24 October 2019.
The Scholarship package
The winner receives a $10,000 contribution to their professional development or research in the area or aligned to their dispute resolution topic, and they have the opportunity to join the Fair Way team for a 12-week placement.
