Anneke has over 25 years counselling experience, including 18 years with the Family Court and has 9 years’ experience as a Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) mediator.

Her current practice involves counselling individuals, couples, families, teenagers & children, as well as her practice as mediator for family matters. Anneke has been trained both in NZ and overseas and she draws on a variety of modalities and therapies, including ACT, CBT, Problem Solving Therapy, TA, Interactive Drawing Therapy, Systems, Gestalt and Narrative. She likes to balance her counselling work with her Visual Art practice and her waka ama passion.

Anneke’s qualifications and membership include Degrees in Social Sciences (Amsterdam; Hons) and Masters Fine Art (Melbourne, distinction), Post Graduate Diploma Education/Guidance Studies, Certificate in Community Counselling Skills (distinction), Teaching Diploma, Counselling Couples Certificate, Introduction to Supervision Certificate, registered member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors and member of the Whangarei Women’s Refuge Collective.

Anneke is an accredited counsellor for the Family Court, Mahitahi PHO, Victim Support, WINZ, and EAP services. She is an accredited FDR mediator through the Resolution Institute (formerly LEADR).  

Anneke is available during office hours weekdays - late nights and weekends negotiable in Whangarei, the Tutukaka Coast, and Kerikeri.
