Bianca Steele

Bianca is based in Auckland and has over 25 years of experience working with children and their families, including in family law, child protection and foster care in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. In particular, she has skills and expertise in assessing and supporting children and families through family disputes and separation having worked as a family consultant for the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court of Australia for the last 12 years.

Bianca enjoys the opportunity to spend time with children and young people, supporting them to express their views, their experiences and what they hope for their future. Bianca draws on a range of strategies, skills and resources to engage children, taking into account their personality and temperament and any specific needs, thereby providing an individual child focused approach.

Bianca has held various roles throughout her 25-year career, including as a front-line social worker, supervisor, clinical practice lead and in policy and program development. Achievements in her career included the successful development and implementation of a supervised contact service in the UK and family violence risk screening system in Australia (Family Court).

On a personal note, Bianca returned to New Zealand in 2024 after many years in Australia and the UK. She has brought her family with her and is delighting in introducing and connecting them to Aotearoa New Zealand culture and lifestyle.
