Brendan is a senior leader with significant public sector expertise. His areas of experience include policy, regulatory, governance, ICT and operational experience at scale. He has extensive experience in leading public sector management of change, machinery of government, governance, risk and crisis management.
Brendan has previously held Chief Executive roles at the Ministry of Social Development, Department of Internal Affairs, and Land Information New Zealand. In 2020, he was appointed as a member of the COVID-19 Taskforce by the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, and he also holds a number of governance positions including being a member of the Capital and Coast District Hospital Board and Treasury Budget Governance Group.
