Commercial and private disputes

I am Kāi Tahu but grew up in South Auckland. My skill as a mediator is facilitating communication between both parties in a dispute to help them to explore options and find a mutual agreement that will work for them. I help parties to understand each other’s points of view and interests and to explore solutions they can both commit to. I combine the soft skills of open listening, empathy, rapport-build and the ability to put people at ease with robust professional neutrality, impartiality and fair and open process.

I am a Professional Member of the Resolution Institute and an Associate Member (equivalent of a professional member) of the Arbitrators and Mediators Association of New Zealand (AAMINZ). I hold an MBA from Victoria University of Wellington, as well as a number of project, programme and change management qualifications. I am a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and serve as a Director on a number of not-for-profit Boards.
