Emily Flaszynski is a Principal of Mortlock McCormack Law, where she leads the Relationship Property and Family team. Emily also holds a judicial warrant and sits in the Canterbury Earthquakes Insurance Tribunal. Since 2020 she has be assisting parties to resolve their earthquake insurance disputes whether through close case management, facilitation, mediation or by issuing a decision. Emily is an associate member of AMINZ and has extensive experience with natural disaster damage, the impact it has on families, insurance companies and the wider community.

Emily endorses a problem-solving approach, assisting parties to find effective, pragmatic and cost-effective solutions that address the parties’ primary concerns. Emily’s experience and knowledge of the statue, case law and technical matters relating to natural disaster damage and its impact, enables her to reality test the various repair strategies and costings. As a solicitor who practices in relationship property and family law field on a day-to-day basis, she understands the importance and impact of having unresolved claims on the individuals involved.

Appointed to hold a judicial warrant and sit as a member of the Canterbury Earthquakes Insurance Tribunal since 2020. Associate member of AMINZ; Member of the Family Law Section of the Law Society and Family Court Association.
