Emma is a Registered Psychologist who works with tamariki, rangatahi and whānau to support mental health and wellbeing. Her work includes helping children manage anxiety, develop emotional regulation skills, and adjust to changes such as family separation and grief.
As a Voice of the Child practitioner, Emma provides a calm and relaxed space where children can share their thoughts and feelings about their family situation at their own pace. She values being a safe, neutral person for children to talk with and believes that when parents put their child at the centre of decision-making, positive outcomes follow.
Emma has been a Registered Psychologist since 2023 and has worked therapeutically with children and families since 2021. She is part of the Family Works Community and Mana Ake teams. Family Works supports tamariki and whānau to build safer, more resilient, and connected lives. Services are tailored to the unique needs of each child, young person, parent, and whānau—building on their strengths and informed by research and evidence-based practice to support positive, lasting outcomes.
