Fiona George

Fiona is currently employed as a therapeutic/clinical social worker with previous employment in both statutory and NGO social work. 

Working alongside children, young people and their whānau is an area that Fiona is passionate about, she has spent her career honing skills to provide better outcomes for those she works with whether that is capturing the voice of the child or facilitating therapeutic interventions to provide resolution and overall wellbeing.

Takepū principles, alongside Āta, are the underpinnings of what guides Fiona in her day-to-day mahi, with a core focus on being conscious of building genuine relationships with those she feels privileged to work alongside. 

Fiona is conscious of building a good reputation and has worked hard to gain respect from various professionals in her area, including other social workers, medical professionals, lawyers, New Zealand Police, and Family Court Judges. Fiona maintains a high standard of work ethic and genuinely cares about achieving good outcomes for whānau.
