Karen Allsop

Karen is an experienced mediator, counsellor, coach and facilitator who has worked with individuals, couples and groups for over 20 years.

Having previously navigated her own separation, Karen has first-hand knowledge of the challenges and emotions co-parenting brings. She believes children are able to thrive when separation occurs in a supportive and co-operative manner.

Karen helps families find workable parenting solutions that provide for the welfare and best interests of their children. She is passionate about enabling parents to develop skills and strategies that create respectful, rewarding and satisfying relationships for themselves and their children.

Karen delivers the Parenting Through Separation programme for Barnardos, and has worked with hundreds of parents navigating their way through the separation process through her counselling and coaching work.

Along with her counselling qualification, Karen has a Bachelor of Business Studies degree, a Diploma in Group Facilitation & Leadership and is an accredited Family Dispute Resolution provider through AMINZ.
