Lisa began her career as in-house legal counsel for unions in the aviation, engineering, manufacturing, and healthcare sectors. After seven years of legal practice, she joined the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) and became a Senior Mediator, handling complex mediations and providing technical advice on employment law. Most recently, she worked at an employment relations consultancy, gaining valuable experience in representing employers, carrying out culture reviews and developing skills in employment investigations.
With impartiality and utmost discretion, Lisa empowers parties to tailor their own outcomes, fostering a collaborative and positive environment. Lisa is committed to respecting te ao Māori, all cultures and communities, and takes care that her actions are inclusive and align with diverse values.
Her expertise in conflict resolution, negotiation, and communication, along with her understanding of legal and policy frameworks ensure she delivers results while keeping everyone safe.

Lisa is trained by the US Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service and is proficient in assisting parties with interest-based problem solving and interest-based bargaining. She is a member of the Resolution Institute and coaches candidates in mediation practice towards formal accreditation, a role she truly enjoys.
