Liz Riley

As a registered counsellor, Liz has extensive experience working alongside tamariki and their whānau. She currently leads a multidisciplinary team at Mana Ake, supporting whānau to better understand and respond to tamariki wellbeing and developmental needs.

Liz is deeply committed to ensuring that tamariki voices are heard, respected, and meaningfully integrated into the decisions that shape their lives. Liz has developed strong skills in engaging with tamariki in safe, empathetic, and culturally responsive ways, using a range of age-appropriate communication approaches to help them express their views and feel genuinely understood.

Motivated by the belief that every child deserves to have their story heard and to be part of shaping their future, Liz brings warmth, professionalism, and deep respect to every interaction. Her practice is grounded in collaboration, cultural understanding, and a heartfelt commitment to empowering children and their whānau.
