Lizzy Wiessing

Lizzy is a barrister with a national practice, based in Whangārei.  As well as advising on local government, public law and civil litigation legal issues, she also undertakes reviews and investigations of processes and conduct.

Lizzy’s approach to her work is to remain down-to earth, flexible and collaborative.  She has strong analytical and communication skills, and is used to interacting with people across all levels of an organisation.  

Before practising as a lawyer, Lizzy worked as a policy analyst at a local authority. As a lawyer, she has worked at a mid-sized regional law firm and a large national firm. She joined Kate Sheppard Chambers in 2021 after moving to the independent bar.

Lizzy was born and grew up in Northland, before moving away for university and the first jobs in her career.
