Sandra Durston is a Family Dispute Resolution Provider with Fair Way. Grounded in her Māori whakapapa—Ngāti Apa, Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Ngāti Ruanui and Ngāti Raukawa—Sandra is committed to honouring the mana of every whānau member.

With a warm, down-to-earth style, she immediately puts people at ease. She listens deeply—attuned to both what is said and what remains unspoken—and fosters an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect. Drawing on her background in trauma-informed restorative practices and corporate coaching, Sandra guides whānau through open, solution-focused kōrero, co-designing agreements that reflect each family’s values and priorities.

Before joining Fair Way, Sandra spent over a decade in the financial services industry, leading training, and mentoring programmes for new financial advisors. Over the past four years she has also served as a restorative justice facilitator specialising in family violence dynamics, using kōrero to promote healing and reconnection.

Sandra’s te ao Māori worldview inspires her to create safe, respectful spaces where whānau can move from conflict to collaboration. She is rooted in the whenua, finding joy in the feel of soil beneath her hands and the antics of her many animals. For more about Sandra’s approach, visit www.sandradurston.com.
