Dr. Hong Hu

Dr. Hu is a member of the Law Societies of New Zealand and Australia, with over 20 years of experience in general practice law across both countries. He specializes in commercial law, property law, family law, notarial services, and international trade. Notably, he is the first and only notarial lawyer from mainland China in New Zealand and a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Colleges of Notaries.

Dr. Hu is committed to assisting homeowners, particularly new immigrants, drawing on his deep understanding of both Asian and Western legal systems and cultures. His approach emphasizes cultural sensitivity in resolving legal conflicts. His motto, “HU Cares!”, reflects his dedication to his clients.

In addition to his legal practice, Dr. Hu has authored several books on mediation and arbitration in China and recently earned his doctorate from Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi. He is fluent in English and Chinese and also speaks te reo Māori. Outside of work and studies, Dr. Hu enjoys playing soccer
