Lucy Skellern

Lucy is an accredited Family Dispute Resolution practitioner and mediator based in Auckland, providing services across the region, including Waiheke, and remotely via video conference. With more than a decade of experience supporting families in New Zealand and Australia, she specialises in family mediation, positive parenting, and child-focused, trauma-informed dispute resolution.

Lucy takes a child-focused, trauma-informed approach, creating a safe and respectful environment where families can work through conflict and make decisions that support their children's wellbeing. Drawing on her counselling background and extensive experience with parents, she helps families build on their strengths, improve communication, and develop practical, sustainable parenting arrangements. Lucy is passionate about empowering families to resolve disputes collaboratively, reducing stress and supporting positive co-parenting relationships.

Since 2016, Lucy has worked as a Family Dispute Resolution practitioner, building on extensive experience across family support services in New Zealand and Australia. She has worked with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) families and LGBTIQ+ communities, bringing an inclusive and culturally responsive approach to her practice. In addition to family mediation, Lucy has experience mediating in the sporting sector and is an experienced group facilitator, mentor, and qualified mediation trainer and assessor.
