Isabel trained as a mediator in 2007 and is accredited as a Family Dispute Resolution provider through AMINZ and the New Zealand Law Society. Isabel is a Duty Mediator for Fair Way’s Family Dispute Resolution service, she is a Preparation For Mediation practitioner, and she also mediates workplace, family and education disputes for Fair Way.

With over 30 years of experience consulting with people in a variety of settings, holding diverse portfolios, Isabel has an in-depth understanding of the psychology and effect of conflict and the positive outcomes of dispute resolution. Isabel’s empathic style and curiosity about the narrative of conflict provides parties with a confidential, neutral and fair space in which real issues surface and options are successfully explored.

Isabel is an accredited counsellor with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors. She has provided counselling in education and community settings which both informs and offers excellent insights for her work as a family mediator. Isabel has a career background in recruitment, human resources and quality assurance in midwifery.
